Iranians Hold Mass Prayers for Slain Supreme Leader as Successor Remains Absent

Thousands of mourners gathered in Tehran to offer prayers for Iran’s slain Supreme Leader as the country continued a nationwide period of mourning marked by emotional tributes and heightened political tensions.

The funeral ceremony drew senior government officials, military commanders, religious leaders, and large crowds who assembled to pay their final respects. Many participants carried national flags and portraits of the late leader while chanting slogans expressing unity and calls for justice.
