The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has unveiled its timetable for the 2026 primary elections, setting out key dates and nomination fees for aspirants ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In a statement issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, the party said the sale of nomination forms will run from May 5 to May 10, while submission of completed forms is scheduled between May 11 and May 13.
According to the timetable, screening of aspirants will take place from May 14 to May 15, with results to be released on May 17. Appeals are slated for May 18 and May 19, while the final list of cleared candidates will be published on May 20.
The party fixed May 21 for primaries into State Houses of Assembly, House of Representatives, and Senate seats, while governorship primaries are scheduled for May 22. The presidential primary is expected to hold on May 25.

Under the approved fee structure, the ADC pegged its presidential nomination form at ₦100 million and governorship form at ₦50 million. Senate aspirants will pay ₦20 million, House of Representatives ₦10 million, and State Assembly ₦3 million.
The party, however, announced concessions aimed at encouraging participation, offering a 50 percent discount for youths and a 25 percent reduction for women and persons with disabilities.
Following the primaries, the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) is expected to meet on May 26, ahead of a Special National Convention scheduled for May 27 to ratify the outcomes.
The ADC said the timetable reflects its commitment to internal democracy and urged members and aspirants to strictly adhere to the outlined schedule and guidelines as preparations intensify for the 2027 polls.
