Former Arsenal captain, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, has sent a goodwill message to his former club ahead of their Carabao Cup final clash against Manchester City.
Arsenal will face their Premier League rivals at Wembley Stadium in the final of the 2026 EFL Cup, as both sides battle for domestic silverware.
Aubameyang, who now plays for Marseille, reacted to a post shared by Arsenal ahead of the encounter, wishing the team success.
“Wishing you the best! COYG!” the striker wrote in a brief message of support.
The Gabon international remains a popular figure among Arsenal supporters, having played a key role in the club’s last major trophy triumph. He captained the side to victory in the 2020 FA Cup final, scoring twice against Chelsea to secure the title.
Aubameyang’s message comes as Mikel Arteta’s side seeks to end a run without major silverware and assert themselves against a formidable Manchester City team.
