The Middle East conflict has escalated further as the United States moves to expand its missile production while Iran firmly rejects a proposed peace deal aimed at ending the war.
According to reports, U.S. defense contractors have been directed to ramp up output of key missile systems, signaling Washington’s preparation for a prolonged confrontation. Lockheed Martin confirmed plans to significantly increase production of Precision Strike Missiles, while other defense firms are boosting supply of critical military components.
The military buildup comes amid ongoing diplomatic efforts to broker a ceasefire. However, those efforts suffered a major setback after Iran reportedly dismissed a U.S.-backed proposal intended to halt hostilities.
“Iran has responded negatively to an American proposal aimed at ending the ongoing imposed war,” an official was quoted as saying, indicating Tehran’s unwillingness to accept externally driven conditions.
Sources suggest Iran is insisting on setting its own terms for any ceasefire, reinforcing its hardline stance even as backchannel negotiations continue.

The development underscores the widening gap between both sides, with Washington increasing military readiness while Tehran doubles down on strategic resistance.
The conflict, now entering a critical phase, has already seen sustained missile exchanges and regional instability, with diplomatic efforts struggling to keep pace with the rapid escalation.
With both sides entrenched, prospects for a near-term resolution appear increasingly uncertain, raising fears of a prolonged war with far-reaching global consequences.
